“Kesi” is a unique silk weaving handicraft in China. Since the Song and Yuan dynasties, Kesi has always been one of the royal fabrics, known as “one inch of Kesi, one inch of gold”. Due to its long working hours, easy to learn but difficult to refine, and still unable to be replaced by machines, many young practitioners are intimidated.

In 2009, Kesi was selected as a World Intangible Cultural Heritage Site as a Chinese mulberry silk weaving technique.
