The world’s first Suzhou embroidery intangible cultural heritage themed subway station was completed in June 2021. As a “Jiangnan Culture” tourism consumption characteristic special line that Suzhou is striving to build, Subway Line 5 has set up multiple characteristic stations along the way, constantly refreshing the “appearance” of Suzhou Subway stations to new heights. The Suoshanqiao West Station, which is built by Suzhou High tech Zone, has become one of the highlights of unique Soviet style cultural elements.
On the B1 floor, there is a Suzhou embroidery cultural and creative store under the new collection brand of Suzhou Embroidery Town Company, as well as 13 Suzhou embroidery themed display windows. Among them, there are 22 works and 2 art installations showcased by 11 Suzhou embroidery masters in the High tech Zone, including Zou Yingzi’s “Hundred Butterflies”, Yao Huifen’s “Blooming”, Zhu Shouzhen’s “Impression of Life”, Shen Delong’s “Rising Sun”, Lu Meihong’s “Western Gags”, Tang Xiaohong’s “Dreams of Jiangnan” and other masterpieces.
